Installation Guide
There are two parts of the installation.
Step 1: Installation of Power Plug and Receiver inside the Garage
All modern Garage door controllers will have a location to wire a “remote switch”. Depending on the Make and model of the garage door, this can be located inside the garage door control box or on overhead models it will be located on the motor itself.
Locate the remote switch connection point and connect the two grey wires coming out of the receiving box. It does not matter which way the wires go into the connect terminals, there is no positive or negative to worry about. If you already have a remote switch connected into these terminals, don’t worry, simple splice the two wires together so that you have two wires going into each terminal.
Position the receiving box in a convenient location using the supplied 3M adhesive tape. Note you can extend or cut to length the grey feed in cable to whatever length required to position the box in a good location. If extending simply use any similar 2 core wire.
Plug the power plug into any convenient power outlet and connect the power plug to the receiver box with the black “plug in connector”. In most cases use the power socket for the garage controller.
Step 2: Installation of Switch and Transmitter inside the Vehicle
The push button switch supplied is designed to fit into the original blank position on your dash. Simply pop out the switch blank on your dash.
Stick the supplied Velcro patch on the back of the transmitter box and stick the box behind the dash in a close enough location so that the green switch plug can extend through the removed switch blank on the dash.
Connect the Green plug to the switch and push the switch into the switch blank hole.
THAT’S IT! Now simply push the switch on your dash and the garage door will open, push it again and the garage door will close. All the programming has been done between the transmitter, Receiver and FOB prior to shipping this product.
You can still use your original existing garage remote FOB as normal. You can also use the new remote FOB supplied in the kit.
